As the only members-only club in the Napa Valley, we pride ourselves in delivering a unique golf, tennis, and social experience to our members that balances and compliments their Napa Valley lifestyle.

Living in the Napa Valley means world-class food & wine in your backyard, championship PGA golf courses within driving distance, and the opportunity to reach the coastline or mountains in about two hours.

With so much to do locally, our members look to Napa Valley Country Club as the place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and connect with their Napa Valley community.

Whether your game is golf, tennis, or just playing bridge in the dining room, Napa Valley Country Club provides the leagues and tournaments that allow you experience something special with your new friends and neighbors.

There’s an old saying here, we’re a “club in the country, not a country club.”  It’s a good summary of our culture here at the Napa Valley Country Club. You won’t find any tractors in the parking lot. But you will find members enjoying the fruits of lives well lived in the most beautiful setting ever.

Our 181 golden, oak studded acres capture the classic visual aesthetic of the California countryside. And neighboring vineyards constantly remind you know you’re in the best place to grow Cabernet Sauvignon on earth.

Inside the clubhouse the Napa Valley food & wine culture is alive and well. Our culinary staff delivers a quality of food that meets or exceeds what you can get locally. And our members-only wine list gives non-wine members the opportunity to sample exquisite wines from the area’s top boutique wineries.

In 1915 the Napa Golf & Country Club leased 100 acres from Frank Coombs for the construction of a 9-hole golf course. In 1923 Napa Valley Country Club was incorporated and purchased the leased land for $7,500.

The club remained a 9-hole course through the 1980s when additional land was purchased to expand to an 18-hole course. The new clubhouse was built in 2004 creating the modern era golf, tennis, and social club you see today.

From a golf perspective, the duality of a 100 year old front nine with a modern-era back nine makes its 6,314 yards an exercise in technical play with elevation changes, tricky slopes, water hazards and compact greens.

And of course incredible vineyard views.

Environmental Stewardship

With 181 acres of land, the club is central part of the East Napa / Coombsville neighborhood. The importance of good stewardship of the native flora and fauna has always been forefront in the club’s history.

In partnership with Napa County, the club became the anchor tenant in a recycled water pipeline to deliver recycled water to the Coombsville area. This recycled water pipeline was completed in 2017. The club now uses rainwater and recycled water for 100% of its golf course irrigation needs.

As golf courses across the country continue to struggle with the financial cost and environmental impact of using potable water for their irrigation needs, Napa Valley Country Club is fortunate to have had the strategic vision to invest in a cost effective, environmentally conscious water source.
